Lightbulb Moments Grow New Ideas

I am a school assembly performer.
I travel across the U.S. performing programs on healthy lifestyle.
Years ago somewhere in Kansas, it appeared to me as on a drive-in movie theatre screen: A cow's milk is for its calf, not a person.
A cow's milk is intended for its baby, not a human. No wonder dairy products promote diseases in humans- cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes II, autoimmune diseases ie Crohn's Disease, obesity, high cholesterol, arthritis, osteoporosis, and more. Please see this very informative video to hear it straight from John McDougall, MD:

A mother cow's milk is calve's food. A mother cow's milk is intended to provide its baby cow with the nutrients it needs. A calf's nutrient requirements are different than a human's nutrient requirements. They are not interchangeable. Why would I want nutrients that are intended for a cow- a cow's milk? Would a calf choose human breast milk? Ha!

The nutrients that are intended for adult people come from plants. A mother who breast feeds and eats a plant-based, starch-based diet offers her baby optimum nutrition.

The nutrients that are intended for adult cows also come from plants. Cows eat grass.

A calf grows from 80 pounds at birth to 800 in one year. The calf needs what's in the cow's milk for such a feat. A human baby gains maybe 10 pounds in one year? Do you see there's something wrong with the picture of a human drinking an animal's milk? Do you see that what's best for a human baby is human breast milk? Can you visualize your mouth or your child's mouth around a cow's teat? Not a pretty picture, but abstractly what is happening when a person drinks a cow's milk.

I was 50 years old when I first had that cow's milk revelation. It seems so obvious now. It didn't occur to me until I was 50. Why hadn't I thought of it before? Why haven't others thought of it? If a cow's milk is calve's food and causes diseases in people, why is there such a huge dairy industry?

And the answer is:

It's because people have gotten in the habit of drinking the milk from an animal. People in the past have had to drink the milk from a cow- TO SURVIVE. We don't need to drink it to survive anymore.
