Chemo/radiation useful?

I asked John McDougall, MD this question: "Re cancer: Are there any circumstances in which you would recommend chemo or radiation?" I was actually surprised at his answer. This was his reply: "Yes - but in many diseases (cancers) these tools have limited ability to change the course of the disease favorably. And the treatments are so toxic and costly. Radiation can control local disease. Chemo works for problems like leukemia."

It is hard to eat and drink healthy, but it can be done.

Healthy eating is certainly not for everyone. For most it is too difficult to rid unhealthy food addictions. Temporary taste satisfaction is more important than thinking of health for the long term. I grew up eating all kinds of animal foods, plus sugary, salty, oily junk foods as well. These unhealthy addictions are not easy to give up. Babies/children raised on healthy food and drink alone have a great chance for long term health. But that does not mean adults who've been raised on unhealthy food cannot make the switch. Some people like myself are forced to eat healthy because of illness. I have Crohns Disease (which by the way comes from drinking cow's milk/eating dairy products). I took the doctor's pills for 2 years after the initial diagnosis. Then I learned what is healthy and what is not, changed to a healthy diet, and was able to stop taking all pills. If I continue to eat healthy there is no need to take any pills whatsoever for Crohns. (The only "pill"

This is how I see it.

In regards to the word "natural", one of my absolutely favorite words: For the health of the earth, and for the health of all people, we should transition to a diet that is naturally intended for humans: a plant based diet. There should be a tax on ALL unnatural unhealthy food and drink. A doctor "in the know" will decide what is healthy and what is not. The tax money could be used to feed hungry people around the world. No more spraying of poison on my food. It is not natural to put poison on my food. At meal time: "Please pass the poison?" Grow food ONLY organically. Apply a "Poison Tax" on all sprayed food, or declare it illegal. Use the tax money to feed hungry people. All packaging materials should be recyclable or biodegradable. If not, un-recyclable materials should be taxed or declared illegal. Use the tax money to feed hungry people. No more styrafoam! Even better yet, adopt the natural "zero waste" concept. ie: bring your own
